The migration of a device to a device manager is a complex task that requires meticulous planning and execution, as factors such as applications, security rules, stakeholder needs, device compatibility, among other things, must be taken into consideration. In the case of a financial institution working globally with sensitive data, these factors must be addressed with higher priority to prevent information leaks. This project addressed the process of migrating macOS devices to Workspace One UEM. The results showed that migrating macOS devices to a UEM allowed the centralization of device management, enabling the efficient deployment of security policies, applications, controls, updates, among other things. To validate the success of the migration, a configuration test was performed with 12 devices enrolling them into the UEM, verifying that the established policies, security applications, and OS patches were applied correctly. Additionally, a continuity plan was considered to ensure the proper functioning of the UEM platform in conjunction with macOS devices in case of any incidents, considering the risks and actions to mitigate them. In conclusion, the migration of macOS devices to Workspace One UEM was completed successfully because it allowed devices to be managed from a centralized platform, and any new policies, configurations, or applications can be efficiently and effectively deployed.
