Medical internship is the final year of study for a medical student in Peru. During this period, students rotate through the four major specialties of human medicine: pediatrics, internal medicine, general surgery, and gynecology-obstetrics. I had the opportunity to complete my internship year at the Edgardo Rebagliati Martins National Hospital (HNERM). HNERM is a hospital with a high level of specialization and resolution capacity in complex diseases and is center of reference for the entire Rebagliati network. This work comprises 30 representative clinical cases from HNERM, for which the work plan, interpretation of results, treatment, follow-up, possible complications, warning signs, and reflection are developed for each of them. Objective: To describe and develop 30 clinical cases seen at the Edgardo Rebagliati Martins National Hospital within the specialties of Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, General Surgery, and Gynecology-Obstetrics. Methodology: Descriptive observational study in patients attended at the Edgardo Rebagliati Martins National Hospital during the period from January to December 2023. Sampling: non-probabilistic, deliberate. Results: Thirty cases of patients attended at the HNERM are described, with their respective management and final reflection on what was learned in each case. Conclusions: The medical internship is a year of great learning. The HNERM has allowed me to attend a wide variety of patients with complex diseases and acquire skills for my future as a doctor-surgeon. Finally, the experience of this year motivates me to continue learning and be the best version of a doctor that I can be.
