In this study, data were collected from the warehouse area of a company that manufactures electrical products, during the reception, storage, and preparation (picking) of orders, the main problem was diagnosed, which is the low percentage of order attention. product time caused by a shortage of available spaces, transit difficulties and obsolete inventories with inadequate quality processes. All of this results in delays in processing orders. The proposed strategy to address this challenge focuses on the adoption of a variety of tools and methods, including 5S, ABC classification, system layout planning (SLP), and work standardization, with the aim of optimizing operations in the store. Because of the implementation of this strategy, substantial improvements were experienced in multiple essential aspects. Finally, it is concluded that the percentage of order fulfillment increased significantly, reaching 94.8%, which is an indicator that the company can satisfy customer demands. Also, there is a significant reduction in the amount of time to fulfill an order of 26 min. This means that order preparation is done faster and more efficiently. Likewise, the number of deliveries with errors is reduced by 9.8%. These inspiring results demonstrate that the use of the suggested tools and techniques have had a beneficial effect on warehouse management. This impact is reflected in the improvement of the quality of the service provided to clients and in an increase in the efficiency of their operations.
