Nowadays, process automation has become a fundamental resource for companies to maintain their competitiveness by increasing the agility and flexibility of their operations. This transformation enables employees to focus on higher-value tasks. Thus, this document details the implementation of automated workflows powered by Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology to optimize the process of duty drawback requests for a goods and consumables company. The project began with the analysis and design of the current customs drawback request process (AS-IS). This analysis allowed the identification of tasks that required significant effort from employees. Accordingly, the future process (TO-BE) was designed, integrating the development of seven automated workflows to support various process tasks. Upon completing the development of automated workflows and user testing, approval was obtained from the end-user and project manager to proceed with the solution's production rollout. Additionally, manuals and operational documentation were provided to ensure effective adoption of the new solution. As a result, there was an approximate 50% reduction in hours spent on manual activities within the process. To ensure solution availability, a continuity plan was established, outlining the management of incidents, issues, and changes.
