New ways to connect directly and attractively with consumers are increasingly explored, such as newsjacking, a strategy where brands take advantage of current events or relevant trends by integrating appropriately structured messages into the brand's narrative. This study aims to analyze the technique and the role of newsjacking in the discourse of digital advertising narrative, focusing on the MINSA spot against dengue fever with the song by Shakira & Bizarrap. Therefore, a qualitative approach and a case study design were chosen, with the aim of exploring in detail the perceptions of the sample. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 20 housewives, aged between 45 and 57 years, residing in the district of San Martin de Porres. The result showed that housewives perceive that for an adequate development of newsjacking in the narrative, the need to have an appropriate and careful content is highlighted, where it should be considered that the choice of elements should be educational and informative, highlighting the relevance of the emotions transmitted in the video for an effective identification with the audience.
