According to the Geophysical Institute of Peru, by 2023, 275 years of seismic silence will be recorded on the central coast of the national territory, which includes the province of Lima. Therefore, the population of Lima is on alert for an 8.8 magnitude earthquake, according to the IGP. On the other hand, according to Wilfredo Angulo of CAPECO, in 2017, the southern cone of Lima presents a high risk of seismicity. In this sense, there is uncertainty that the construction conditions of informal housing guarantee the preservation of human well-being because a large part of the housing is self-built. So much so, that investigations by the Ministry of Housing indicate that the district of Chorrillos, the focus of this investigation, is very vulnerable to telluric events. Therefore, this research is supported by the methodology of Miguel Mosqueira Moreno from 2005, which shows the determination of vulnerability, danger and seismic risk through the calculation of the density of walls; which a study sample will be applied. San Genaro II of Chorrillos. To do this, the technical, architectural, constructive and structural characteristics of 84 homes were analyzed. Finally, the percentage of vulnerability of the study sample is shown. The results obtained show the degree of seismic vulnerability of AAHH San Genaro II so that the population knows the seismic situation they face.
