The present work includes the analysis and design of a five-story reinforced concrete structure subjected to gravity and earthquake loads, located in the department of Junín with a use intended for a multi-family home. The land has an area of 115.15 m2 and is composed of rigid soil. The default building system corresponds to structural walls, both the analysis and design will be carried out in compliance with the guidelines indicated by Standard E.060 “Reinforced Concrete”, Standard E.030 “Eismic Resistant Design” and Standard E.020 “Loads”. To carry out the design of the structure, first, there was an architectural plan of five levels and a roof with which the most appropriate structure that complied with the architectural parameters could be correctly defined based on the criteria proposed by the engineer Blanco (1994). In addition, the calculation concepts that will be followed for the design of the structural elements were carried out. Then, the pre-sizing of the structural elements such as columns, shear walls, beams and slabs was carried out. With which, both static and dynamic seismic analysis is developed using Etabs, which must comply with the main guidelines proposed by the E.030 standard. FormaOnce the above has been executed, we proceed with the design of the structural elements onsidering the E.060 standard, since these must meet the resistance and shear criteria. According to this, the conclusions, recommendations and structural plans that were obtained in the analysis are provided.
