The document presents the implementation of the pillars of autonomous and planned maintenance of the TPM in a manufacturing company dedicated to the compaction of polypropylene waste, where initially an availability of 78.75% of the production line under study was obtained. Chapter 1 contains the background of the manufacturing sector related to the compaction of polypropylene waste, after which the conceptual framework of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and the pillars that make it up will be presented: autonomous and planned. Chapter 2 corresponds to the diagnosis carried out on the compaction production line due to low availability, where the following were identified as relevant causes: Unplanned stoppage of the hydraulic unit valve assembly of the compaction machine and breakage of the transmission system belt. of the feeder. Chapter 3 will address as an initial step the linking of the most relevant causes with the pillars of the TPM that would become the solution tools and with this we will move on to the presentation of the detailed design of the solution segmented into four phases, finally the implementation considerations including schedule and budget. Finally, chapter 4 would be the functional validation of the proposal through the comparison of indicators before and after the improvement, with the results the evaluation of the economic and environmental impact continues through the Leopold tool.
