This work focuses on the implementation of the reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) methodology in the carmine production line of a company that produces natural dyes, where a low availability was detected in the equipment of said production line. In chapter I, the background is developed where it explains the state of the market for dyes derived from cochineal in Peru and the importance it represents worldwide. Also, the theoretical framework is developed where maintenance concepts are described and the RCM methodology is deepened. In chapter II, the current situation of the case study company is analyzed, in which the problem of low availability of carmine line equipment is identified. Likewise, the main causes of the problem are identified and prioritized, thereby determining the economic impact and setting the objectives. In chapter III, the causes are linked to the solution, the steps to follow in the implementation of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) are identified, the indicators are presented contrasting the current scenario with the expected scenario. In chapter IV, the proposal is validated by presenting the results obtained after implementation; finally, an economic evaluation will be carried out where the viability of the project is demonstrated.
