The objective of this sufficiency work is to propose a viable and feasible alternative solution to address the lack of corporate governance in the family business studied. To this end, the approach of this research is qualitative descriptive, with data collected through surveys and the use of a measurement tool to know the best option. Firstly, a study of the general situation of the company at an external level is carried out, using the PESTEL analysis. Likewise, the internal analysis with the use of AMOFHIT helped us locate the current moment in which the problem is developing. Secondly, the study of the theoretical framework supports, with the search for other research works, that good corporate governance practices in a family business and professionalization are factors that are related to the improvement of management and profitability. The affected areas are identified and three alternative solutions are proposed. Finally, the comparative analysis shows that the implementation of a board of directors is the best alternative to improve the company's strategic decision making. However, there are certain risks that can jeopardize this action, for which recommendations are proposed.
