Warehouses have a global impact on the entire supply chain, but they are often not given the time or analysis they deserve, usually because they are not the core part of the company's activities, but serve a support function. The objective of this project is to reduce the time in the supply of materials in a construction company in order to increase efficiency in warehouse management and save costs. Currently, it presents problems in the process of management and attention of material dispatch vouchers, due to unproductive times in transportation, inappropriate processes and unnecessary movements. To identify the problem, a Value Stream Map (VSM) was performed on the process in order to diagnose the cycle times, obtaining a process lead time of 37 min/voucher and an efficiency of 35.59%. The improvement proposal includes the application of the 5s, ABC analysis and layout redesign as Lean Warehousing tools and the use of a warehouse management system to reduce unproductive times, inappropriate processes and unnecessary movements. The results obtained from the proposal showed that efficiency increased from 35.59% to 71.85%, process lead time from 37 min/voucher to 5 min/voucher, warehouse space utilization from 49.78% yo 27.23%, inventory record accuracy from 33.33% to 84.6%. In addition, the cost-benefit analysis of this proposal is 1.38, which makes it viable.
