The purpose of this project is to present the solution proposed as a soil improvement system through the use of micropiles on the land intented for the construction of a hospital with six (6) floors plus roof, a basement and a technical floor, located in the district of Yanahuanca, Province of aniel Alcides Carrión and department of Pasco. The objective of the soil improvement process is to transmit the hospital loads to the lower strata of greater resistance to achieve better behavior of the fundation in terms of load and deformation/settlement. The studied terrain present two strata defined by low resistance Sandy clay and médium resistance clayey sand. In order to obtain the geotechnical parameters of the ground at the foundation level, the information collected from the soil mechanics study was taken into account through 36 rotary drillings and standard penetration tests (SPT) inside them. Settlement values at foundation ground level are base don information from standard SPT penetration tests of rotary boreholes. Finalyy, the designo of the solution was obtained for the purposes of improving the terrain through the installation of 166 high-capacity micropiles of 273 mm in diameter with an Expander Body tyoe EDI815 attached to the tip of the elements which Will reach a final diameter of 800 mm; 12,0 m in length, wich were distributed on the land intended for the hospital.
