This work is based on increasing the availability of cyclone pumps through the implementation of the RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) methodology in a mining company. For this purpose, 4 chapters have been structured. In the first chapter, all the theoretical phase of the methodologies and tools related to the problem of the mining company is developed. In this sense, terms such as mining production in Peru, corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, proactive maintenance, RCM, TPM, SMED and Kaizen are detailed. In the second chapter, the description of the company, its processed products, its analysis, situation of the mining sector, problems, and details of its statistical data to be evaluated are detailed. In the third chapter, the engineering proposal that is best applied to eliminate or reduce the problem of low availability of the cyclone pumps in the milling maintenance area is detailed. In the fourth chapter, the results obtained after the implementation of the RCM methodology in the studied company are detailed. Likewise, an economic and financial evaluation is carried out to determine the feasibility of the project. Finally, all the recommendations and conclusions of the project are detailed.
