The problem under study is developed in a SME company in the graphic industry sector, whose main product is the sale and installation of printed designs on vinyl material. These designs in vinyl material can be adhered to any smooth and dirt-free surface, the vinyls are cut in special machines that give the shape of the desired design without altering the edges, preserving the material in its entirety. This material is sent to the gluing area, where operators remove the designs and adhere them to the surfaces established by the clients. The main problem is the high percentage of waste that is obtained within the production process. The company belongs to the graphic industry sector and its product is printed designs on vinyl material, with the loss of this material being the focus of research during its production process, specifically in the cutting and gluing process. This research work will be useful for other companies in the graphic sector that seek to reduce their losses within the production process. The purpose of this research is to reduce vinyl losses by applying Lean concepts in the main reasons and causes that cause the high percentage of losses. It is expected to reduce the current percentage of shrinkage at intervals more in line with the sector.
