This project consists of an environmental design proposal accompanied by educational material designed for the Presbítero Matías Maestro Museum cemetery, which exhibits niches, tombs, mausoleums and crypts of different figures from Peruvian History and are characterized by their architecture. The goal of this paper is to design a signage system for this cemetery, so the user can have a good orientation in his visit. To achieve this goal, firstly, studies were carried out through the documentary research, then, a field study was made through observation along with a survey to understand the needs of the users and their difficulties in their route. In order to develop the graphic proposal, first, the basic graphic guidelines were adjusted based on the existing identity elements. Next, the signage system was designed and the directional, warning and informative signs were made. At last, a cemetery general map and a brochure were executed, including the museum map and its information. Finally, a user test was carried out in the cemetery to verify the efficiency and functionality of the proposed signage system and its didactic material. The users indicated that the material provided was useful to them and they felt that they could better locate themselves and easily reach their destination. However, they made some comments about the smallness of the font size affecting elder people reading, and the size of some supports were invasive to monuments. Due to these observations, these difficulties were improved.
