The objective of this work was the implementation of a maintenance management system to increase fleet availability in the company Inversiones Generales Tamariz S.A.C. In the periods prior to the year 2022, the company had an equipment availability of no more than 73.86% and this did not allow it to fulfill scheduled orders. It is worth mentioning that availability in the equipment and machinery sector is between 85% and 95%; but the company proposed as a goal to have 90% availability. At the beginning of 2022, the implementation of the TPM methodology began, of which two pillars will be applied, planned maintenance and education and training. The implementation began with a prioritization matrix, where all the personnel involved in the area participated, to then detect the most relevant causes of the problem; Then, with the planned maintenance pillar, different scheduled maintenance plans were created together, formats began to be used that allowed information on failures, changed spare parts and downtime of the company's equipment; At the same time, the training service of truck supply companies and hydraulic system specialists was contracted, this involved all operational personnel; The entire implementation was carried out in a period of six months. After implementation, the measurement was carried out in the following twelve months, obtaining an average availability greater than 90%.
