The company for the application of the present work belongs to the peruvian electrical sector and provides the service of distribution of electrical energy. The company provides this public service since 1994, year in which you won the concession for part of the city of Lima, through an international public bidding process. Most of the customers of the electricity distribution company have Low Voltage supplies and represent more than 90%. It’s observed that the rate of circuits with Low voltage unexpected disruptions (unscheduled power outage) and repeated disruptions (3 or more events in a semester) is 22%; which represents, with respect to Low Voltage Maintenance, an efficiency of only 78%. The objective of this work is to reduce the number of repeated unexpected failures (unscheduled power outage) and therefore increase the efficiency of the system, using the Reliability Centered Maintenance methodology (RCM), which includes Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA).
