Currently, competitive manufacturing companies have an average efficiency of 78.55%. However, there are also companies that present an efficiency below the average, this due to deficiencies in the implementation of new techniques or tools. The study is based on a company that is responsible for the elaboration and commercialization of canned fish, which presents an efficiency of 74.28%, compared to the sector, it is below the average. One of the main problems is the low efficiency of the production line. On the other hand, the reasons are both unplanned and planned machine shutdowns and the incorrect concentration of substances in the components. Therefore, the article is focused on solving the problem through the Lean Manufacturing philosophy and the TPM and SMED tools. Likewise, the study used the indicators of percentage of time stopped due to failures, percentage of time stopped due to breakdowns, machinery preparation time, number of defective products and availability of machinery. The results that were obtained based on a proposed simulator were an increase in the total efficiency of the process to 82.50 % and a reduction in process times by 28%.
