The construction sector is currently evolving through the application of new technologies and methodologies that enable achieving high productivity with reduced cost and time. This study aims to conduct a comparative analysis of adapted rheology for use in the construction of curbstones using the slipform paver on the Cusco Expressway. The construction of curbstones with the slipform paver involves pouring the optimal concrete for the execution of a segment with significant impact on any road project. This machine can produce 600 linear meters of curbstones per day, eliminating strenuous and repetitive labor. In this research, an optimal concrete mix design is sought by analyzing the properties that make up the mix design, such as aggregate selection, cement type, additives, and the water-to-cement ratio. Furthermore, this study presents a comparative cost-benefit analysis between the traditional system and the application of the slipform paver in curbstone construction. It will be demonstrated that this automated system produces 4.5 times more curbstones per day, resulting in a 53% reduction in execution time and a 52.53% economic savings compared to the traditional system. Finally, this research was applied at an industrial scale for the construction of 75 kilometers of curbstones, confirming that the use of the slipform paver generates a high production rate while reducing costs and execution time.
