This research consists of a proposal to increase the efficiency of the bus fleet in a Peruvian interprovincial transportation company at the headquarters of Lima, Trujillo and Piura applying the TPM Methodology. The problem identified is a loss of efficiency of the company, it is shown that this problem is related to low efficiency of the buses measured with the General Efficiency of OEE Equipment indicator, which for the year 2019 reached a value of 57% below of global standards, it was also evident that the availability component was also 76% below the standard; With this information, the causes that generate the low availability indicator were analyzed and it was identified that it was generated mainly by stops for corrective maintenance and excess time in the cleaning processes of the bus fleet. The problem that arises in the company generates a negative economic impact, therefore, based on the identification of the causes, the TPM methodological strategy is used to attack these with the help of three pillars of TPM and its sequence of steps. This implementation development generated an investment of S/348,125 between assets and training; and it took a period of 8 months of the 2021 period, and by the end of September 2023, the result was an increase in availability of 89% and consequently an increase in efficiency, reaching an OEE of 84%.
