This study describes the implementation of improvement recommendations in a company that transports spare parts for heavy vehicles. First, linear programming was applied as the basis of the project to build a mathematical model to optimize delivery routes and avoid returns due to shipping delays. The study involves the use of the following measures in 2 stages; In stage 1, the linear equations, variables, objective functions and restrictions were generated that will help create a mathematical model of the programming process, in stage 2, the implementation and development of lean logistics tools, which include a series of stages, starting the identification of the problem, causes and then the 5S and Kanban methodologies, In this way, the following results are obtained: reduction in preparation process time by 56.25%, reduction in loading times by 89.27%, reduction in unloading times by 67.44% and the on-time delivery rate increased by 95%. In this way, the implemented tool and the results obtained can serve as a starting point for the application of improvements with innovative tools and reduce delivery delays in the automotive industry.
