In manufacturing companies in the food sector, it is very important to measure production efficiency with OEE indicators. In this case study we will explain the case of a company that had a low level of OEE due to mechanical, electrical and descalibration of their machines. The main objective is to increase the availability of the production line. To achieve this, we will reduce the frequency of machine downtime and waste of raw materials, using tools applied in articles of success stories from the same sector. In many of these research documents they used the TPM methodology and measurement indicators in which they managed to reduce the percentages of machine stops or other problems. The tool that we have used in this project is Preventive and Autonomous Maintenance, pillars of Total Productive Maintenance. Likewise, before executing said method, we carried out a quantitative analysis of the company's production in which we obtained 59% OEE. Then, we identify the most critical machines through the MTBF and MTTR indicators. Finally, we carried out a simulation using the Arena Training & Evaluation Mode software, with the data obtained before the simulation and after the implementation of the TPM pillars, we managed to increase the OEE to 69%.
