The energy industry is essential, serving as a backbone in meeting vital needs such as lighting, heating, and transportation (Zuberi et al., 2020). Since 1990, the world has witnessed a remarkable increase in electric generation, surpassing 29,000 terawatt-hours in 2022. Latin America and the Caribbean stand out for harnessing natural sources for renewable electricity production, unlike regions such as Europe, which leans towards nuclear energy, or the U.S. and China, with a strong dependence on coal and gas (Borchert et al., 2021). Meanwhile, Peru has displayed a dominance in energy generation in its central region, being the main contributor to the country's total energy output (MINEM-DGE, 2023). Additionally, to facilitate the transmission of this energy, the production of essential devices, like transformers, becomes crucially important. The study addresses the issues in transformer production, specifically the bottlenecks that arise due to various factors in the workstations, causing delays in deliveries to customers. This situation poses a challenge for the company's profitability. To tackle these problems, a solution based on the implementation of Lean Manufacturing techniques, such as VSM, 5S, TPM, and KANBAN, is proposed. These tools aim to eliminate non-value-added activities and improve overall efficiency.
