The following research and design project presents an innovative proposal in the peruvian fashion industry as a response to the pollution problems that have been generated in recent years. This is done through a collection with garments made from natural fibers, to achieve circular fashion and eco-design. For this research we worked together with the Peruvian textile factory Topitop, which provided us with information about how the fibers work and how to use them optimally in the development of garments. In addition to providing us with relevant knowledge of how to partner with a factory and the processes involved in making fabrics, they explained and contributed to our understanding of how the processes can be applied to achieve sustainable fashion. Additionally, in order to understand the public that the designs intend to reach, surveys were carried out to find out tastes, preferences and expectations. As a result, the Wan Kayán collection was created, inspired by the Paracas culture, where we applied the terms and concepts that we discovered when researching how to solve the main problems that fashion generates for the environment to the development and conceptualization of the garments.
