Natural gas as an energy source has become an important element for the development of a sustainable society, at a residential, commercial and industrial level, achieving energy autonomy and reducing electrical energy consumption. Our research is based on a company whose main activity is the development of the installation of gas pipes for the creation of internal networks in Lima, Peru. For the development of the activity, the year 2022 was taken, which has recorded the production of raw material losses, which is equivalent to S./ 747,393.00, this loss is mainly generated in the process of installing internal gas networks, representing 83% of this total. Therefore, the development of this academic project will focus on reducing the production of waste of the raw material, which are the Polyethylene Aluminum Polyethylene (Pe Al Pe) pipes. In order to reduce this loss, an analysis of the causes will be carried out to identify the reasons that generate this high rate of production of raw material loss and tools will be used to diagnose the factors that make up the process. It is necessary to develop a problem tree where the necessary information is grouped and it can be demonstrated that 83% of the waste is generated by the method and labor. With the use of Pareto, it has been possible to determine the causes that must be corrected and aligned in the reprocessing of pipe cutting and defective raw materials, elements that have a high impact on the production of waste equivalent to 10.69% representing a 15.87% loss of the gross sales generated by the company. Consequently, it is necessary to propose an improvement through the implementation of the Lean Manufacturing methodology in order to reduce and mitigate the excess waste generated in the installation process of internal residential, commercial or industrial networks, and this will be achieved through of the implementation of the tools of: Standardized Work, SMED and Pull System; and thus reduce waste production to 3.34%.
