This research document was carried out with the objective of improving the repair process of hydraulic cylinders in a metal mechanics company. For this, the Lean Manufacturing methodology was used, a tool that emerged in Japan with the purpose of eliminating waste that occurs in the stages of all processes to increase productivity and efficiency in these. This project shows an analysis to determine the root causes of the problem of delay in compliance in the delivery of repaired equipment and proposes an alternative solution for the company. A description of the company and the repair process is made. Information on the macroprocesses and processes of the hydraulic equipment repair service is also detailed. VSM was used to determine the waste to be eliminated based on the value generation of activities, according to analysis of the company's database from 2021; In order to identify the root causes that cause the delay in the delivery of repaired equipment and propose an alternative solution that improves the level of compliance with on-time delivery and satisfy their demand, the use of analysis tools, papers with similar problems, standardization of processes, Poka Yoke, information management, among others, to attack the problem of delays in the delivery of repaired equipment. Finally, the results were analyzed according to the established indicators, verifying that the investment has been made effectively.
