The objective of this research work was to determine the critical elements of success for the export of Peruvian pisco to Spain in the period 2014 - 2017. For this purpose, indexed scientific journals were used to develop the theoretical framework. Similarly, a qualitative methodological study was carried out with descriptive and explanatory design based on Grounded Theory whose research instrument is the interview guide that was validated by two experts in the sector, then the in-depth interview was conducted with the participation of 10 experts including managers and owners of wine companies and pisco exporters, in addition, representatives of institutions involved in the export of pisco. Next, the qualitative data was processed using Atlas.Ti 23 software, the findings of which indicate that the critical elements of success are the capacity for innovation, which is key in the pisco production process to improve product quality by applying technological innovation to control the fermentation process and innovation in packaging design and distribution channels. Also, diversified exportable supply is important for the sustainability of exports by maintaining available inventory, production and management capacity to meet the demand of the Spanish market. Likewise, governmental support networks have been of great support for the promotion of pisco, and distributors have been key to market development.
