In a global context, the mining equipment sector plays an essential role in the development of raw material supply, being a key industry in growing economies and natural resource extraction. Companies of heavy machinery distribution play a crucial role by providing comprehensive solutions and after-sales services to maintain the operational efficiency of this equipment. The industry has experienced steady growth due to urbanization and infrastructure investment. In June 2023, copper production in Peru increased by 21.8% compared to the previous year. Current trends in this sector include the adoption of advanced technologies, such as automation and telemetry, to enhance efficiency and reduce risks. However, challenges persist, particularly in component management and maintenance services. The lack of planning for component replacement and delays in acquiring spare parts are significant issues that affect efficiency and customer satisfaction. To address these challenges, a solution is proposed that integrates Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP). TPM focuses on improving equipment efficiency and reliability, while MRP ensures the availability of necessary spare parts. The implementation of this solution involves a detailed process ranging from the initial diagnosis to training and continuous monitoring. Key performance indicators have been established to measure the effectiveness of the solution, such as Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) and Equipment Availability. Simulation using Arena software allows for validation of the solution and assessment of its impact on the performance and availability of mining trucks. The project aims to enhance maintenance service efficiency, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction with a proactive focus on component and spare parts management. The implementation will require a budget of $830,000 and will follow a detailed schedule to ensure its success.
