Peru is known by it’s culture diversity in the world, and music is part of it. And even when people can expect that in the schools of a cultural country as Peru there should be a course where students can learn about the native music and some others from different parts of the world, it isn’t like that. The school curricula of primary and secondary school it’s a document that indicates the topics that should be teach in every course. In this document, there’s a section named Art and Culture, whose skills to be developed allows national and private schools to decide if the skills would be developed by a course of art, dance, music or other similar. Due to the lack of a mandatory music course that allows school students to know the most popular music styles from the nation and the world, the idea of creating a music school dedicated to teaching instrumental performance and musical ensemble arises. The academy will have schools of socioeconomic levels A and B from Lima Metropolitana as target audience. It aims to be a space where students can educate themselves musically and develop their social skills through the music ensembles and the music contests of school groups that the music academy will promote.
