The need to improve and seek efficiencies of companies worldwide is key to greater competitiveness in the national and international market. Nowadays all companies of different services and areas seek several improvement factors that are linked to performance indicators, which are constantly evaluated always with the desire to obtain excellent results. These improvements mentioned today cover all areas of the company such as production, sales, quality, warehouse and logistics. Likewise, these improvements are committed to the company's mission and vision policies. Our work seeks to rely on the engineering tool RCM (Maintenance focused on reliability). What it seeks is to improve the availability of folding machines in a company in the metalworking sector, where we will develop an analysis through a database for decision making that benefit and optimize the improvements to be made. The scope that will be taken with this study will be delimited in the area of kitchen production, in which the current procedures will be improved and the personnel involved will be trained. The objective of the RCM is to improve the availability of machinery in the production process.
