The present professional sufficiency work, entitled “ Implementation of a hybrid application for the development of medical study sessions,“ introduces an innovative mobile application devised to assist medical students in efficiently preparing for the most significant medical examinations in Peru, including EsSalud, ENAM, and the Medical Residency test. The application employs the flashcard methodology, wherein each card encapsulates a question on one facet and comprehensive answers on the reverse, frequently supplemented with imagery and mnemonic techniques to enhance memorization. Building upon an existing web application, the initiative seeks to broaden its scope to mobile devices, thereby catering to contemporary requirements for accessibility and portability. This was achieved through the implementation of a hybrid mobile application utilizing React Native technology, facilitating unified development across Android and iOS platforms via a singular source code. React Native mitigates the intricacies of development and ensures a uniform and seamless user experience across both platforms. This hybrid strategy is augmented by the utilization of Java as the backend programming language since it helps with the integration and management of a database shared between web and mobile applications. The development of “MemoFlashcards“ adheres to the agile framework known as SCRUM, promoting continuous and regular client deliveries. This approach enabled iterations that imparted incremental value to the product, thereby allowing for methodical planning and execution, and fostering adaptability to changes and perpetual product refinement.
