This research has a qualitative methodology with a phenomenological research design. The semi-structured interview was chosen to collect all the data and for the analysis, the content analysis method was applied. Nine open-ended questions were asked to teachers of the Pattern Making and Tailoring course of the Fashion Design and Management career of the UPC to perform the data analysis. The results show that the applicability of patchwork and upcycling as options to promote sustainable fashion within the Fashion Design and Management career are positive; however, some negative perspectives on their application were found. This research provides a clearer view on sustainable fashion and how the application of sustainable techniques and processes within production can help improve processes and increase students' knowledge and creativity.
