The main idea of this project addresses a critical scenario within the company “Representaciones e Inversiones Selva Oriente,“ where its logistics operations are challenged by geography, rapid customer and visitor growth, and the climatic conditions in the Huánuco and Pasco regions. Inefficient logistics management has resulted in delays in product delivery and decreased customer satisfaction. To counter this situation, three alternatives have been proposed: route optimization and staff development, implementation of information technology (ERP) in logistics, and collaboration with strategic suppliers. These alternatives have been meticulously evaluated through matrices, including EFE, EFI, indicators, estimated costs, and implementation timelines. The conclusion drawn is that the second alternative, the implementation of IT, stands out as the most effective despite its higher investment. Additionally, crucial theories such as supply chain management, process reengineering, and continuous improvement have been linked to address logistic challenges. Among these, the Theory of Continuous Improvement is particularly relevant for addressing deficiencies, focusing on continuous staff training and development and promoting a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization. In summary, this professional sufficiency work delves into solving critical logistic problems at “Representaciones e Inversiones Selva Oriente“ and highlights the implementation of IT as a promising path toward efficiency and competitiveness in tackling these challenges.
