Companies dedicated to the manufacturing of footwear were affected by the Coronavirus pandemic that began in 2020. This pandemic caused a crisis that affected the Peruvian economy and many of these factories were forced to stop their operations for several months. Like many of these companies, ALMA SAC also closed its doors. When the crisis began to be controlled, operations were resumed, but with a minimum number of workers and creating new footwear models that adapted to new trends. This situation caused the company to have an increase in losses. Due to the aforementioned, this work of professional sufficiency was prepared, where a qualitative methodological approach was used, which through interviews and research of academic material helped us to better understand the problem that caused the lack of control of waste. in a manufacturing company. Likewise, reviews of the company's reports and financial statements have been made. Finally, three alternative solutions were analyzed that could help solve the problem of waste, seeking to choose the most feasible and sustainable over time.
