The fundamental purpose of this research project is to evaluate the impacts generated by the adoption of circular economy principles in promoting sustainable development in companies within the food sector in Lima Metropolitana. Building on the positive outcomes observed in the international implementation of this strategy in the realm of food businesses, the intention is to provide valuable information that enables domestic enterprises to optimally leverage this circular economic model to achieve their sustainability objectives. The current study is being conducted with a qualitative and non-experimental approach, aiming to demonstrate that an online platform ensures formality in the management of recoverable materials. Additionally, it seeks to illustrate that both the quantity of these materials and transaction security contribute to companies adopting a circular economy model. This approach, in turn, could have a positive impact on achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 12 and 13. It is concluded, after conducting the research and compiling results, that based on precedents, one of the solutions that aligns best with the sustainability vision in the food industry is Cirkula, with the objective of promoting economic efficiency and environmental sustainability.
