The purpose of the following research is to analyze and design the structure of a multifamily building with references to current Peruvian standards. A multi-family building was chosen that is located in the Carabayllo district, which has 7 stories. Consequently, in order to obtain the necessary calculations, it was decided to use the ETABS software. Thus, at the beginning of the investigation, a first pre-sizing was chosen to model the structural elements in the ETABS software and verify if it complies with the recommendations of the current Peruvian Standards. When the modeling was finished, the verification and correction of the modeling continued so that it complied with Peruvian regulations. In the same way, the derivations, displacements and the seismic model were verified. After obtaining the correct calculations and within the parameters of Peruvian regulations, the arrangement of the steel in the building elements was chosen. For this investigation, a typical slab, banked main beams and a plate were chosen for a better arrangement of information. After carrying out the design of the aforementioned elements, the collection of data and information was completed to create the formwork plans for the building.
