Mining companies have currently decided to implement new continuous improvement programs, whose focus is based on reducing costs, minimizing times, and obtaining better results in their mining processes. The current mining approach leads us to have excellence in all management tools, therefore, the objective of this professional work is to implement the Six Sigma methodology in the search for a better reduction in time. This methodology applies a failure prevention system in the drilling stages, in relation to equipment wear, thus achieving; have a better-quality product and fewer losses. Our main objective is Unproductive times, which is a problem that directly affects mining companies, where the performance of the equipment can cause failures, causing delays in the drilling stages. In the mining sector, different production rates are met that meet the selected standards of their mining equipment; a failure within the process or worker inefficiencies with drilling machinery makes much of daily production difficult. For this reason, it is necessary to implement the Six Sigma methodology in search of a better reduction in time.
