The objective of this work of professional competence is to design and execute the deepening of a conventional double compartment pit to achieve the increase of mineral reserves. In this way, to increase the Life Of Mine (LOM) where the present work is executed. The development of the TSP began with the identification of the mineralized area and with the evaluation of the geological and geomechanical conditions of the rock mass where the shaft will be deepened, the results showed that the rock mass is of a good quality with an RMR of 79. After that, the planning areas together with the geology area, made the design of the shaft and selected the hoisting system to be used according to the broken material. Also, parameters were established for the drilling and blasting of the project in search of efficiency. During the execution of the deepening of the shaft, the necessary active support was placed, the hoisting system was installed, and the pocket was built. Finally, the total cost of the project was calculated, and it was demonstrated that the executed project presents economic and operational feasibility. The results obtained show that the execution of the project will provide significant benefits for the company, since the mineral reserves will increase by approximately 56,000 tons, representing an increase of 11% and 5.5 months of LOM. Also, the total cost of the execution of the deepening of the two-compartment conventional shaft was $ 106,670.66.
