This thesis includes a geotechnical study, corresponding to the soils and rocks where the Cerro el Agustino Human Settlement is located. The proposal is based on the study of soil mechanics, carried out in a universe of 200 pits, for which geostatistical distribution techniques were used to locate the optimal areas for the purpose of the study. The samples obtained from soils and rocks were classified according to the SUCS system and the uniaxial compression resistance respectively, from which four well-defined zones were determined: zone I (well-graded gravel), zone II (poorly graded silty gravel), zone III (silty sand), zone IV (rocks), these zones were delimited on a geotechnical zoning map, which will have the purpose of locating in places with optimal soils, of the future buildings in the AA.HH. Cerro El Agustino.
