In 2020, an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus emerged that caused a global pandemic causing health, work and social restrictions; as well as quarantines to reduce free transit and prevent the rapid growth of infections. Various sectors of the industry were affected, generating abrupt changes within organizations to remain current in the market. In this scenario and given the decision to reduce presence in schools decreed by governments, the school supplies sector was strongly affected by concentrating its sales unilaterally through the traditional direct or in-person sales channel. Likewise, the rapid development of online education was evident, opening up a new need for sales through online channels in order to bring the product to the homes of final consumers; To face this new reality, companies had to reinvent themselves by changing their business model and adopting new forms of sales. The objective of the research is to delve into the impact of adapting a digital business model to face the effects of Covid-19, as well as aligning with the new forms of sales of this technological era; As a result of the research, it was identified that the digital business model brings economic and market benefits, facilitating delivery for customers and bringing our offer closer to new geographic locations to increase commercial activity. Everything is based on the main pillars of a digital business model through the application of Marketing strategies, transformational leadership and change management. Finally, it is concluded that applying a digital business model in a pandemic and post-pandemic manages to reduce costs, optimize processes, improve customer satisfaction and reduce times.
