Peru has 40% of dances and 20% of festivities named PCI of the nation, of which 9 of these dances (40%) and 8 festivities (30%) take place in Junín, with a total of 17 manifestations named PCI of the nation, ranking second below Cusco, however, unlike the other references, Cusco and Ayacucho, Junín only has 3 cultural centers and even so it receives 300,000 tourists a year, showing a clear neglect of this great folkloric presence. Of these 17 demonstrations, 14 take place in Tarma, however, it does not have a cultural building that responds to this presence. Within Tarma, 5 of the 9 folk dances (that is, 65%) and 6 of the 9 festivities are practiced. Due to this problem, a folklore interpretation center is proposed, which seeks to avoid the purely informative use to respond to the new cultural consumption where the user generates his own experience and is in constant interaction with the intangible heritage revealed through interpretation. This center seeks to provide infrastructure for this high demand, since currently the comparsas use the streets, parks, and squares to prepare; It is not about the party going to the center, it is about the center going to the party. To generate a greater impact in the proposal, it seeks to complement with the emphasis of vernacular architecture, rescuing the characteristics of its pre-Hispanic, colonial and contemporary architecture of Tarma to later reinterpret them, the project seeks to evoke, symbolize, and reinterpret these characteristics, since it does not it is about nostalgia if not memory.
