To facilitate the stripping activities and obtain an ideal finish on the concrete, the use of a release agent is necessary. This petroleum-derived product prevents the concrete from adhering to the formwork, making it easier to remove. In addition, it increases the useful life of the formwork. These chemical products are very useful, but they have a high cost in the market, they contaminate the environment and affect the health of the builder. The present research proposes the development of a natural release agent based on water, soybean oil and an emulsifier to mitigate the effects of the use of a chemical product. These dosages were analyzed qualitatively, comparing their texture with the chemical release agent on the market. The best dosages of natural release agent were 3 and were used in a formwork made of phenolic material and wood respectively to evaluate its behavior against these materials after 5 uses. Firstly, the dosage of 50% soybean oil, 10% soy lecithin and 40% water showed good performance in taking care of the formwork and removing stains on the concrete. Dosage 2 of 70% oil, 10% lecithin and 20% water prevented the concrete from adhering to the walls of the formwork, but due to the amount of oil it presented stains on the concrete and the molds. In the case of the last dosage of 70% soybean oil, 5% beeswax and 25% water, the formwork and concrete presented a homogeneous color and the stripping was simple.
