The work of this research seeks the replacement of combustion cars by electric cars and what would be the conditions for a migration plan for these vehicles to be viable, the qualitative method was used, since it was proposed to know the current structure of the grid to properly supply power, the fears of the market regarding the acquisition of an electric vehicle. For this reason, potential users of electric vehicles were interviewed to find out their opinions and concerns about this new technology. In the same way, to find out the current supply of electric vehicles, heads of dealerships were interviewed, who provided us with information about the advantages they offer, such as: installing a small charging station at home and the various public charging stations available in Lima, as well as its specialized workshops to support these new units. A literature review was carried out and data was collected through public organizations such as Osinergmin, Automotive Association of Peru and visits to dealerships, in order to prepare a comparative chart of the cost of ownership of electric and combustion vehicles. For this, some elements were considered such as: the cost of maintenance, the purchase price of the vehicle and the cost of energy. In addition, the public policies of other countries were reviewed. For example, Spain is used as a reference to implement legal regulations that promote the use of electric vehicles in Lima, looking for similarities.
