Teacher performance management is a highly relevant aspect of the quality of education in any public or private educational institution. In the case of Colegio Miguel Angel, weaknesses have been identified in some key competencies that are affecting the effectiveness of teaching and, consequently, the internalization of learning in students. This is due to issues such as non-compliance with the delivery of pedagogical documentation, insufficient use of technological tools and innovative pedagogical strategies, and a lack of strong ethics in some teachers. In this context, it is crucial to take assertive measures to improve teacher performance at Colegio Miguel Angel. Therefore, the objective was set to implement a competency-based program to enhance teacher performance management at the Miguel Angel Educational Institution. The aim is to strengthen the skills and capabilities of teachers in these critical areas. In this process, two alternative solutions will be considered. The first alternative involves the recruitment, selection, and induction of teachers who demonstrate competencies aligned with the framework for good teacher performance, as established by the Ministry of Education of Peru. This would ensure that newly hired teachers possess the necessary skills from the outset of their work at the school. The second alternative will involve implementing a competency-based training program to improve teacher performance management at Colegio Miguel Angel. This program will focus on developing the necessary skills and capabilities in teachers, providing them with the tools and resources needed to address the identified weaknesses. These two alternative solutions are supported by a qualitative analysis conducted through the Ishikawa diagram, which is based on interviews with teachers at Colegio Miguel Angel. It is expected that teacher performance will improve with the implementation of the competency-based program, ultimately leading to an enhancement of the educational quality at the school.
