Demolition in mining facilities has evolved in such a way that the complexity of the industrial infrastructure to be demolished currently requires a service of its own and a process that must take safety as a priority for the people involved. These tend to be more complex depending on the structure to be demolished and its location; and may be linked to relocation, remodeling, reinforcement of structures or closure of mining operations. This case study consists of the demolition of the foundations of the hydraulic hammer of the Primary Crusher of the Antamina mining complex using the diamond wire cutting procedure, as this procedure complies with the execution time and is not invasive, avoiding the generation of cracks in the adjacent structures. The block to be demolished is of rectangular section (3.10 m x 4.70 m) and height 2.75, which has a total volume of 40.00 m3 and has a compression resistance of 40 MPa. The block will be demolished in 5 parts in which two types of cutting will be applied: surface (> 0.00 NPT) and by immersion (< 0.00NPT).
