Abstract: El presente proyecto tuvo como principal objetivo implementar un sistema de pagos a terceros en una compañía de seguros en reemplazo del actual que era lento, con mucha intervención manual del usuario y vulnerable a fraudes y ciberataques. Para tal fin se diseñó y desarrolló un sistema basado en la nube AWS (PaaS), integrada a los sistemas centrales de la compañía, desde donde se origina la información de los pagos, y comunicado con las entidades bancarias que se encargan de ejecutar los abonos en las cuentas de los beneficiarios. El equipo que participó en este proyecto incluyó los siguientes roles: especialista de proyecto, arquitectos, desarrolladores (con experiencia en el uso de servicios de la nube AWS) y analistas de calidad. El proyecto se planificó y ejecutó en el plazo de 9 meses, con despliegues progresivos que permitieron realizar pilotos con los bancos para validar la solución hasta completar todo el alcance definido. Como resultado de esta implementación se agilizó el proceso de pagos, se automatizó las operaciones manuales ejecutadas por los usuarios y se cumplió con los lineamientos de seguridad. Esto permitió que la compañía cuente hoy con un sistema que opera el proceso de pagos de manera óptima, controlada y segura, reduciendo el riesgo de error humano, fraude y/o ciberataques.
The main objective of this project was to implement a third-party payment system in an insurance company to replace the current one, which was slow, with a lot of manual user intervention and vulnerable to fraud and cyberattacks. For this purpose, a system based on the AWS cloud (PaaS) was designed and developed, integrated with the company's central systems, from where the payment information originates, and communicated with the banking entities that are in charge of executing the payments in the accounts of the beneficiaries. The team involved in this project included the following roles: project specialist, architects, developers (with experience using AWS cloud services), and quality analysts. The project was planned and executed within 9 months, with progressive deployments that allowed pilots to be carried out with the banks to validate the solution until the entire defined scope was completed. As a result of this implementation, the payment process was streamlined, manual operations executed by users were automated, and security guidelines were complied with. This allowed the company today to have a system that operates the payment process in an optimal, controlled and secure manner, reducing the risk of human error, fraud and/or cyberattacks.
