In Peru, as in other countries in the region, public management has a very important relevance that has to be carried out effectively to achieve the objectives that are proposed, involving the most important entities in each country and thus achieve the economic and social growth that provide stability to citizens. In the following work, the municipality of San Miguel will be presented, a district that is located within the capital of Lima and that represents 142,549 inhabitants. The security of the country is something that constantly threatens the population, the high crime rate makes citizens not feel safe when traveling through the streets. This is a problem that also harms the district of San Miguel, although they implement tools to reduce crime, this has not reached some sectors such as the Maranga urbanization, where crime is visible especially at some nighttime hours in where more criminal acts are committed. This also happens because in this area the public lighting service lacks maintenance, which results in a lack of visibility for passers-by who feel unprotected when walking through its streets. This has led to investigating the difficulties that the municipality of San Miguel has in not being able to serve this area as it does with other sectors and to try to find optimal solutions that provide social stability to its residents. That is why in the following work three alternatives will be proposed that help find possible solutions to counteract this problem that afflicts the district in question. Within these alternatives we will take the first as the most optimal, aligning it with the organizational objectives of the municipality of San Miguel. Finally, some recommendations will be found that serve as support in the process of a possible restructuring to reduce the problem and in this way generate positive impacts both economically, socially and environmentally that the district municipality of San Miguel must seek for the satisfaction of their community in general.
