Due to the constant growth in the construction of structures and in areas of high seismic risk, structural monitoring systems have become very important. This system allows to monitor in real time the structural health and to apply measures that are deemed convenient, in order to prevent the loss of operation of the structure. This thesis work is based on the estimation of installation costs of different sensors such as accelerometers, temperature, humidity, wind, tilt and deformation. Costs of data acquisition equipment, communications, visualization and qualified personnel are also estimated. This system was implemented in the multifamily building Los Cerezos in the city of Arequipa (Peru). The data obtained allowed to know the dynamic parameters (such as frequencies, vibration modes, displacements and drifts), thus determining the optimal location of the sensors and assessing the health status of the structure. The parameters of interest can be visualized remotely on the structural integrity in the implemented interface, with which the user can also control the start and end of the monitoring process, detecting damage early and taking preventive measures against events such as earthquakes. Finally, the implementation of the structural health monitoring system (SHM) in the Los Cerezos building is feasible, resulting in 6.46% based on the total budget of the structure.
