The objective of this study is to provide an alternative solution to mitigate delays in the budget phase in the specialty of structures for the project “Improving the delivery of educational services at the primary level of the educational institution No. 21578 located in the district of Paramonga - province of Barranca - department of Lima“ with the implementation of the Building Information Modeling (BIM) methodology. To achieve the objective of this study, three-dimensional modeling was carried out in REVIT 2023 software, where the design and virtual construction of the project are simulated in detail, enabling the elements of interest to be measured accurately and efficiently, avoiding omissions and minimizing human error, to then obtain the direct cost of the elements using PRESTO 2023 software. Thus, this research proposes the implementation of BIM methodology to improve the automation of the budgeting phase in buildings and infrastructures. The results obtained in this study show that BIM methodology has a high degree of reliability, as the metrics obtained with REVIT 2023 software show minimal variability compared to conventional methodology, as well as a considerable reduction in time, up to 80% in the metrics obtaining stage, and therefore an effective improvement in delivery time in the budgeting stage.
