This research work develops the pre-dimensioning, structuring, linear and non-linear analysis of a 4-story educational center, which is located in the district of Chota, province of Cajamarca, department of Cajamarca and is located on a soil profile type S3 (soft soil). The structure is divided into 2 modules, module 2 being the largest with an area of 227.25 m2; while module 1 has an area of 83.22 m2. This is divided into two modules in order to avoid the irregularity of incoming corners, since the architecture would present this irregularity if only one block were built. The second floor is intended for the use of laboratories, the second floor is intended for the use of administrative offices and two classrooms, the third floor is intended for the computer center, classrooms and laboratory and finally the fourth floor is intended for the student center, teachers' lounge and multipurpose room. For the present thesis, module 2 of the educational building is being designed. For the linear analysis method, we applied the E030, E060 standard, and for the nonlinear analysis, we applied the ASCE 41-17, HAZUS, SEAOC standards, which are foreign standards used to evaluate the performance level of the building. Finally, the non-linear analysis showed that module 2 is in life safety and close to collapse, according to the HAZUS standard.
